All grown up!

We love photographing families and children, but taking senior potraits is a refreshing change of pace. We enjoyed spending a beautiful evening downtown with this great guy. What an exciting time in his life---he has his whole future ahead of him!

All in the family

People are so busy nowadays that it's always difficult to find time for a family portait. But families are constantly growing and changing, which is why it's so great this one set aside an evening to be photographed together. Family potraits are certainly keepsakes!

Good day sunshine

After working around all of our crazy schedules for awhile, we finally had the opportunity to book this wonderful family for a photo session. Thank goodness, too---it sounds like they were overdue for some family portraits. It was a warm August afternoon, but that didn't stop their energetic two-year-old from having a good time. We even got to snap a few of their nephew!

Sneak peek for Katie and Rian

One of my best friends from college and her husband just had their first baby. We're so thrilled for them! I couldn't wait to photograph him. I had envisioned carefully posed sleeping baby pictures, but he was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed the entire session. No problem! With newborns, you have to learn to go with the flow. I especially like the shot with the green hat. It seems particularly fitting considering their Irish heritage!

Graduating from pharmacy school is a huge accomplishment, and this Creighton student wanted to remember her final year of pharmacy school by having her portrait done---kind of like senior pictures, only a little more "sophisticated". The outdoor shots were taken at Creighton's Jesuit Gardens. We love taking photos there because it's so beautiful and peaceful. We're also Creighton grads, so it's a little like going home!

Happy Birthday!

This family wanted to have some photographs done for their mother/grandmother's 80th birthday. Here she is in the back row with the pink shirt---doesn't she look great? And she should be proud to have such a beautiful family. Here's to eighty years!

We sure enjoyed sharing some time with these first-time parents and their newborn. Isn't he so cute? What a special time in their lives!
