My family was long overdue for a family portrait---it had been almost three years since our last one!  Even with a photographer sister, it's tough to make room in our busy schedules for a photo session.  But I'm so glad we did!  My kids are growing up fast as lightning, so it's great to "freeze time" in a photograph.  Now if only we could do that in real life. . .

My brother-in-law's family was also overdue---they had never done a portrait with all four of their kids.  Beautiful family!

And while we were all together, we took an extended family portrait with my mother-in-law to celebrate her retirement from teaching.

We couldn't resist getting a playful shot with her and all the grandkids.

One hour, and so many great photos to cherish.  What took us so long?

Where does time go?
